About Us
Hi there! It’s Stewart and Carissa here, we would love to welcome you to our blog. To those of you who do not know us, we are a couple working towards bringing you images that will move your heart. Hopefully this blog will not only have you wanting to check back daily for updates, but that you will gain a glimpse into our life as a couple through our experiences, stories, and of course, our photographs. We of course do not expect of you to learn everything there is to know about us through just this blog, so please, please shoot us an email and we would love to get to know our readers and hopefully do a photoshoot with you!
This blog is not for ours to call our own. s2c Photography is about Savoring Christ Together. In the world of photography that is filled with competition, we are honored to say God is enough. The reason why we shoot is because we wish to display God’s glory in all things through our art. As Pastor John Piper put it in his book Don’t Waste Your Life,
“God created us to live with a single passion: to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all the spheres of life…to make much of him in every part of our lives”.
One on One:
Carissa Jung: Hello! I’m Carissa Jung. I’ll be a freshman in college next year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I started to get interested in photography when I got my own point and shoot. I bought my own Canon Rebel XS at the end on my senior year in high school and I’ve been carrying it with me all the time ever since! Stewart and I decided to make a website together when I bought the camera and now it’s finally up and running. It’s our way of showing you parts of life from up North and down South, although I’m actually more in the middle of California (haha). I look forward to posting more in the future.
Stewart Uy: Hey there! As you may already know, my name is Stewart Uy and I’ll be going into my third year at Moorpark Community College finishing up all my lower division classes wit
h the hopes of transfering to a university in the Fall of 2010. I’ve been shooting since my sophomore year of high school but only since college have I been really taking my work seriously on a more personal and professional level. Besides a passion for photography, Carissa and I are two who are in love with getting to know who you are, what makes you laugh and smile, and what you expect out of our photo sessions. Though God is bringing Carissa up to San Luis Obispo, we can say that we are blessed to see our work already expanding across the state!
